Individual Membership

Membership for individuals such as dance professionals, students (high school, undergraduate, and graduate) and supporters of dance.

Annual Fee: $16-52

Memberships for organizations such as dance company, nonprofit organization, dance studio/school, K-12 dance program, and high education institution.

Dual NDEO/DNJ Membership

Memberships for individuals and organizations working and/or studying in the field of dance education. DNJ is a state affiliate organization of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO). As part of this partnership, NDEO members who reside in NJ become automatic members of Dance New Jersey.

Annual Fee: $50-250

  • Discounted admission to attend DNJ workshops (up to two representatives for an institution membership), including:

  • Eligible to apply to and participate in DNJ-produced performances, including our annual Show Up & Dance concerts, and other opportunities throughout the year.

  • Institutional members can apply to start a National Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) chapter. NHSDA aims to recognize outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic acheivement in students studying dance in public and pricate schools in K-12 education, dance studios, cultural/communty centers, performing arts organizations, and post-secondary education. It also aims to foster an appreciation for dance as a true art form and one worthy of recognition and prestige.

Vendor Membership

Memberships for companies wishing to connect with us and promote products and services to our community. We offer three levels with varied amounts of promotion.

Membership Add-Ons

Fiscal Sponsorship

Subject to acceptance, DNJ serves as the fiscal sponsor to individual dance artists and companies who do not yet have 501(c)3 status. The artists temporarily utilize Dance New Jersey’s non-profit status to solicit charitable donations, while receiving professional mentorship. $75/first year, $45/annual renewal

Newsletter Listings

Individuals receive the Organization-level benefit of having events or opportunities listed in DNJ’s bi-weekly, shared “Member Announcements” newsletter. $50/year

DNJ will send a newsletter to all contacts that is solely dedicated to the Organization or Individuals’ announcement. $50/newsletter

DNJ will post a dedicated announcement to our main feeds on behalf of an organization or individual (cross-posted to Instagram and Facebook). $25/post

  • When joining NDEO, you will automatically become a DNJ member at the same time, as long as your mailing address is within New Jersey.

  • Add your events to our Calendar, and other announcements to our Community Opportunities page. DNJ will automatically include listings posted on these pages by our Organization Members in our bi-weekly “Member Announcements” newsletters (once the event date or deadline is within a month of the newsletter date).

  • Individual members can join our Dance Professional Directory by emailing kelly.dancenj[at]gmail.com.

    Organization members can join our Organization Member Directory by filling out our submission form.
