Fiscal Sponsorship & Mentorship
We provide access to funding resources for emerging dance artists and companies.
Dance New Jersey serves as the fiscal sponsor to accepted individual dance artists and companies who do not yet have 501(c)3 status. The artists temporarily utilize Dance New Jersey’s non-profit status to solicit charitable donations, while receiving professional mentorship.
Participating Artists Currently Include:
Consult with Kristine, ASE ACADEMY Learning Lab and Disability Mentoring Day
ASE ACADEMY Learning Lab is a year-long arts administration mentorship where 8 DCIMND participants develop professional skills through hands-on experience. Mentees attend arts events, write weekly synthesis posts connecting theory to practice, participate in body doubling sessions for accountability, and learn grant writing, marketing, and organizational development. The program uses cooperative learning principles and culminates in coordinating Disability Mentoring Day - a workplace wellness expo they help design and execute as their final project, demonstrating real arts administration experience while building community connections and professional networks.
Hoboken Dance Fest
Hoboken Dance Festival is a free outdoor series held over three Tuesdays on the lawn of Northwest Resiliency Park. Now in its second year—and designed to return annually—the festival converts the park into an open-air stage for eight dance groups each night, offering professional visibility to emerging artists while giving Hoboken residents free access to live art.
Altar Dance Worship
Altar Dance Worship’s mission is rooted in the belief that artistic expression through dance can deepen one’s spiritual connection and bring people closer to their faith. We are committed to providing opportunities for individuals to worship through movement, fostering creativity, community, and spiritual growth. Our goal is to use dance as a tool for transformation, healing, and outreach, empowering people to express their faith in dynamic ways.
iDance Ministry
iDance Ministry’s mission is to educate, elevate, and impact the world through dance. iDance transforms local, state, and international communities by using dance as a catalyst for change. Our programs improve the quality of life in communities, raise awareness of mental health, addiction, and neurodivergence, and provide inclusive, multidisciplinary arts engagement. We bridge divides, reduce isolation, and foster connection in marginalized populations, using movement as a means of healing, education, and social transformation.
